
Since ancient times, thyme has been used both as medication and spice. Due to special curative, gustatory and flavour features of thyme, it was even attributed with supernatural powers –thyme was considered a charm and called a “Beard of Heavenly Father”.
Pertussin N Forte syrup:- suppresses cough,
- acts as an expectorant,
- cough is shorter and less frequent;

Composition1 ml of preparation contains 162.5 mg Thyme herb liquid extract (1:1 extrahent 30 % (V/V) ethanol). Excipients are sugar syrup, ethanol.

Contraindications Pertussin N forte cannot be used in instances of increased sensitivity to any of the ingredients. because the medication contains ethanol and sugar, it cannot be used by patients suffering with liver diseases and (or) diabetes mellitus. Also, it is not advisable for children under 4 years.
Usage during pregnancy and lactation period.Because the medication contains ethanol, pregnant and lactating women can use preparation only on a doctor's prescription.
Effect on driving performance or operating machineryPreparation, if used in recommended doses, does not affect the driving performance or ability to operate machinery, therefore, it is safe to use.
Undesirable effectEven though thyme preparations usually have no undesirable effect, the possibility of systemic allergic reaction should be considered. Patients with increased sensitivity to birch pollen or celery can develop the cross-sensitivity to thyme preparations.
Doses and intake methodUnless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and children over 12 years should take: 1 dessertspoon (10 ml) of syrup 3 - 5 times per day. Children over 4 years: tea spoon (5 ml) of syrup 3 times per day. Medication is to be used after meal. Duration of usage is not limited.
